On March 16, 2012, Michel Chossudovsky and Finian Cunningham published an article revealing that “A top US Air Force General has described the largest conventional bomb – the re-invented bunkers of 13.6 tons – as ‘fantastic’ for a military attack on Iran.

Such an eloquent comment on the massive killer-artefact took place in the same week that President Barack Obama appeared to warn against ‘easy words’ on the Persian Gulf War.

Herbert Carlisle, deputy chief of staff for US Air Force operations [...] added "that probably the bomb would be used in any attack on Iran ordered by Washington".


The MOP, also referred to as ‘The Mother of All Bombs’, is designed to drill through 60 metres of concrete before it detonates its massive bomb. It is believed to be the largest conventional weapon, non-nuclear, in the US arsenal.

The Pentagon is planning a process of wide destruction of Iran’s infrastructure and massive civilian victims through the combined use of tactical nuclear bombs and monstrous conventional bombs with mushroom-shaped clouds, including the MOABs and the larger GBU-57A/B or Massive Ordnance Penetrator (MOP) that exceeds the MOAB in destructive capacity.

The MOP is described as ‘a powerful new bomb that aims straight at subterranean Iranian and North Korean nuclear facilities. The giant bomb –longer than 11 persons shoulder to shoulder, or more than 6 metres from end to end.

As one can see, such calculations arise from the hypothesis that the Iranian combatants, numbering millions of men and women well-known for their religious zeal and their fighting traditions, surrender without firing a shot.

Let us imagine US forces launching monstrous bombs on industrial institutions, capable of penetrating through 60 metres of concrete. Never has such an undertaking ever been conceived [and carried out].


Not one word more is needed to understand the gravity of such a policy. In that way, our species will be inexorably led towards disaster.

El Papa y Fidel en La Habana

Mientras el Papa Benedicto XVI se reune en Kuba con Fidel, que se desplazará a la Nunciatura para el esperado encuentro, en el otro lado del mundo el reactor número 2 de Fukushima está tan "caliente", que 7 minutos en su proximidad, y esto es un decir, bastan para matar un ser humano. 

No hay bendiciones para los japoneses que con una inexplicable paciencia intentan sobreponerse a la catástrofe. La prensa ha dejado a un lado la tragedia.

Tal vez Benedicto XVI interceda ante Fidel por los presos de conciencia con esa finura que caracteriza al Vaticano.

Y Fidel que está justamente preocupado por los problemas del medio ambiente y la proliferación de armas de exterminio en masa, puede que le haga algún comentario al Santo Padre.

Todo sea dicho, las relaciones del gobierno de Fidel, educado en los mejores colegios de curas de la isla, a veces fueron tensas y caracterizadas por un anticlericalismo paranóico. Pero el agua no llegó al río: nada comparable con los abusos perpetrados por otros regímenes marxistas.

Como resultado de la revolución cubana, las iglesias se vaciaron de fieles y se perdieron costumbres tan inocuas como casarse por la vicaría o bautizar los hijos. Los que querían pertenecer al PCC (partido comunista) obligatoriamente debían renunciar a posibles creencias religiosas. Igual ocurría con la UJC(unión de jóvenes comunistas).

Pero curiosamente Kuba era el país "socialista o del campo socialista" que mejores relaciones mantenía con la iglesia católica, apostólica y romana. 

Y a lo que iba, que el marxismo-fidelismo o como quieran llamarle ya no funciona en las condiciones del panorama global actual, es bien sabido. De ahí la necesidad de cambios, cuanto antes y cuanto más profundos mejor. 

Cambios que en primer lugar mejoren las condiciones del día a día de la gente en Kuba.

Sería una vileza, o una miopía mal intencionada, negar aspectos positivos que, con muchos esfuerzos, han sobrevivido a todos los períodos especiales, huracanes y demás circunstancias.

 Pero presidente Raúl, ya es hora de remontar el pasado, con el mismo ánimo de cuando era un guerrillero. Tenga presente que 53 años son muchos años de soledad, que diría el gran amigo de Fidel, y supongo que también suyo, Gabo.
 
Reúnase con los que piensan diferente de usted. Estoy  aludiendo a gente que vive en Kuba y no quieren buscarse paraisos fuera de la isla.

This Reflection could be written today, tomorrow or any other day without the risk of being mistaken. Our species faces new problems.

 When 20 years ago I stated at the United Nations Conference on the Environment and Development in Rio de Janeiro that a species was in danger of extinction, I had fewer reasons than today for warning about a danger that I was seeing perhaps 100 years away. At that time, a handful of leaders of the most powerful countries were in charge of the world. They applauded my words as a matter of mere courtesy and placidly continued to dig for the burial of our species.

It seemed that on our planet, common sense and order reigned. For a while, economic development, backed by technology and science appeared to be the Alpha and Omega of human society.

Today, everything is much clearer. Profound truths have been surfacing. Almost 200 States, supposedly independent, constitute the political organization which in theory has the job of governing the destiny of the world.
25, 000 nuclear weapons needed to defend the changing order ?

Approximately 25,000 nuclear weapons in the hands of allied or enemy forces ready to defend the changing World order, by interest or necessity, virtually reduce to zero the rights of billions of people.

I shall not commit the naïveté of assigning the blame to Russia or China for the development of that kind of weaponry, after the monstrous massacre at Hiroshima and Nagasaki, ordered by Truman in August 1945 after Roosevelt’s death [April 1945].

Nor shall I fall prey to the error of denying the Holocaust that signified the deaths of millions of children and adults, men or women, mainly Jews, gypsies, Russians or other nationalities, who were victims of Nazism. For that reason the odious policy of those who deny the Palestinian people their right to exist is repugnant.

Does anyone by chance think that the United States will be capable of acting with the independence that will keep it from the inevitable disaster awaiting it?

In a few weeks, the 40 million dollars President Obama promised to collect for his electoral campaign will only serve to show that the currency of his country has lost its value, and that the US, with its unusual growing public debt drawing close to 20 quadrillion, is living on the money it prints up and not on the money it produces. The rest of the world pays for what they waste.

Nor does anyone believe that the Democratic candidate would be any better or worse than his Republican foes: whether they are called Mitt Romney or Rick Santorum. Light years separate these three characters from Abraham Lincoln or Martin Luther King.

It is really unheard-of to observe such a technologically powerful nation and a government so bereft of both ideas and moral values.

Iran has no nuclear weapons. It is being accused of producing enriched uranium that serves as fuel energy or components for medical uses. Whatever one can say, its possession or production is not equivalent to the production of nuclear weapons. Dozens of countries use enriched uranium as an energy source, but this cannot be used in the manufacture of a nuclear weapon without a prior complicated purification process.

However, Israel, with the aid and cooperation of the United States, has manufactured nuclear weaponry without informing or accounting for their actions to anybody. Not admitting their possession of these weapons, they have hundreds of them. To prevent the development of research in neighbouring Arab countries, they attacked and destroyed reactors in Iraq and Syria. They have also declared their objective of attacking and destroying the production centres for nuclear fuel in Iran.

International politics have been revolving around that crucial topic in that complex and dangerous part of the world, where most of the fuel that moves the world economy is produced and supplied.

The selective elimination of Iran’s most eminent scientists by Israel and their NATO allies has become a practice that motivates hatred and feelings of revenge.

The Israeli government has openly stated its objective to attack the plant manufacturing Iran’s enriched uranium, and the government of the United States has invested billions of dollars to manufacture a bomb for that purpose.

In recent days, the Iranians have seen how US soldiers occupying Afghanistan, in just three weeks, urinated on the corpses of killed Afghans, burned copies of the Koran and murdered more than 15 defenceless citizens.

Let us imagine US forces launching monstrous bombs on industrial institutions, capable of penetrating through 60 metres of concrete. Never has such an undertaking ever been conceived [and carried out].

Not one word more is needed to understand the gravity of such a policy. In that way, our species will be inexorably led towards disaster.

If we do not learn how to understand, we shall never learn how to survive.

Obama a Seúl, el Papa a Kuba

En Seúl se reunen los gobernantes de las naciones que deciden y cuentan en el planeta, entre ellas España, para hablar de reducción de armas nucleares y de las posibles medidas de control. 

Estados Unidos va a la cabeza del asunto con unas 1.506 armas desplegadas y un número inexacto de unidades almacenadas, pueden ser en torno a 5.000. 

Barak Obama se puso muy mono el uniforme militar para echarle una ojeada al otro lado de la cerca que marca el límite con la Corea comunista, donde pasan hambre pero no cejan en su propósito de intentar formar parte del selecto club de países con armamento nuclear. 

Suena un poco extraña la declaración del presidente de Estados Unidos, cuando comenta, sin más detalles "que se necesitan menos provisiones atómicas". Pues ponte a ello majo.

No esperen que me largue un discurso antinuclear muy plañidero, aunque ganas y motivos no faltan.

Ni que recuerde que USA más bien debería continuar las negociaciones con Rusia para evitar nuevos "incidentes atómicos". Remember Hiroshima y Nagasaki y es suficiente.

La tecnología nuclear de uso pacífico tiene que recibir una atención prioritaria, para la que se necesitan inversiones  cuantiosas.

Los gobernantes reunidos en Seúl han de reflexionar que son responsables de la vida y salud de los ciudadanos.

No soy catastrofista pero más de una vez me pregunto qué sucedería si se produce un "pequeño desastre" como el famoso de Palomares. Ya ha ocurrido Fukushima.

Kuba recibe al Papa

En otro punto del planeta, en la pequeña Kuba, se preparan para el recibimiento de Benedicto XVI. Como todas las visitas del pontífice romano se trata de un viaje pastoral, y no hay que olvidar que el Vaticano es un estado independiente.

 No se sabe si el papa dedicará alguna parte de la escasa agenta en la isla a reunirse con Fidel. Eso me produce cierto morbo ya que son dos grandes creyentes, cada uno en lo suyo, ambos dedicados ancianos pero que resisten a los embates del tiempo.

Tal vez Fidel reciba una bendición y un rosario. En reciprocidad podría regalarle al pontífice un libro de José Martí, traducido al alemán. Estoy convencida de que ambos se lo pasarán bien en el cara a cara.

Mientras el destino mundial de las armas de exterminio en masa se discute, en la pequeña Kuba son otros los afanes: se ha negado la visa a ciertos periodistas (no voy a explicar los motivos aunque los conozco).

Parece que han sacado de la circulación a personas capaces de intentar deslucir las celebraciones religiosas. Utilizar o instrumentar una celebracion religiosa católica con fines políticos me parece cobarde.

Que le hagan una cacerolada a Raúl a ver que pasa. Y aprovecho la confianza:Presidente Raúl porfa, recupere su espíritu guerrillero y transgresor y todos por la izquierda. Recuerde que usted llevaba coleta.

Tal vez el gobierno de Raúl podía haber tenido la generosidad de concederle a la oposición o disidencia algún espacio. (Hay que abrir espacios de buena voluntad para que los cambios fructifiquen). Pero la verdad es que ningún jefe de estado cuando visita otro país, suele colocar en su agenda a los partidos opositores del gobierno anfitrión. 

La oposición dentro de la isla está  fragmentada y es variopinta. Ultimamente se identifica con las Damas de Blanco, pese a que ellas sólo reivindican su papel a favor de la liberación de presos de conciencia. Mujeres con flores que no ofenden ni transgreden las leyes, ni la propia constitución.

Raúl tiene en sus manos devolver a sus hogares a aquellas personas que no han cometido delito fuera de oponerse al sistema imperante:no compartir la ideología marxista.

Por otro lado me parece ridícula y de desmedida vanidad la pretención de que un jefe de estado tenga que recibir a los/las blogeros, gente muy respetable en su afán informativo, pero a quienes en algunos casos se les ha subido el honor y la gloria a la cabecita.

En el mundo hay miles o tal vez millones de personas letra ferits que largan en la red sus cositas.

Que no pretendan algunos en convertirse en nuestros guías espirituales.

Eso sería igual de totalitarío.

"Planetary Genocide": Fukushima One Year Later : The Poisoning of Planet Earth

As we approach the tragic one-year anniversary of Fukushima’s multiple nuclear reactors’ accident on March 11, that initially affected the entire Japanese population, we now know that this nightmare has engulfed all of us.

Let us also not forget that this is the third nuclear attack on the Japanese (the first two were Hiroshima and Nagasaki). Given what has not been done to ensure public safety, we cannot think of it any other way. From the very first day, there were lies and a massive cover-up of the extent of the destruction and the inherent radioactive dangers –not just from Japanese officials and TEPCO corporate reports, but also from the US. The Mark 1 reactors, built by General Electric, have design flaws.

There are many of these same-designed reactors in the US.


A year later, much of the corruption, deceit, and careless practices have been documented extensively here at Global Research ( Ver Global Research)–while mainstream news continues Orwellian doublespeak. Last month, in a rare but very belated mainstream account, CBS News reported that after the tsunami and nuclear accident: “The normal lines of [government] authority completely collapsed in Japan.”

Early on, even essential radioactive monitoring was shut down. In May 2011, the prestigious Norsk Institute’s online site was blocked from the US. They had been monitoring on a daily basis the worldwide radioactive contamination to which we were all –and continue to be– exposed. Conveniently, any early radiation monitoring in the US was inconsistent, with numerous sites supposedly not working for one or another reason. So, what is not monitored, or where the radiation rates are manipulated, then no one –government officials and corporations– can ever be held accountable, nor can increased death rates, diabetes, stillbirths, birth defects ever be attributed to this catastrophic planetary event.


When have we ever been told the truth about our life-long systemic radiation poisoning? For decades, we have been uninformed experimental laboratory rats since before the Manhattan Project. There never were any ethical or precautionary considerations. Greed and secret agendas trumped everything else.


With various half-lives –some eons-long– of numerous radioactive components, the human race and every other living creature on our planet is on its way to extinction, due to the known sterilization effects of radiation. Here is a short list of the half-life of five of the radioactive isotopes that are and will continue to poison all of our children, and us, ad infinitum, in the air we breathe, the food we eat, and the water we drink and in which we bathe:


· Cesium 137: 30 years


· Plutonium 239: 24,000 years


· Strontium 90: 29 years [mimics calcium in the body]


· Uranium 235: 700-million years


· Iodine 131: 8 days [absorbed into the thyroid and gives heavy radiation dose. Also goes into the soil, passed onto us through cow’s milk.]


In a report released just a few week’s ago, the milk tested in the San Francisco area still had radioactive levels of Cesium 134 and Cesium 137. According to even a compromised EPA, these are now at “150 percent of their maximum contaminant level.” .
In addition, Fukushima’s Unit 3 reactor also used MOX [mixed oxide], a plutonium-uranium fuel mixture that is deadly. A single milligram of MOX is 2-million times more deadly than enriched uranium.


Current radiation levels reported on Feb. 25 in Tokyo, 100 miles from Fukushima and an international hub, are “25 times the Fukushima mandatory evacuation zone.” The eminent physicist Dr. Paolo Scampa has reported in detail his latest calculations on deadly radiation exposure here.


For 30-million Japanese this is an epic tragedy.


Any reasonable safety precautions or realistic evacuations never took place at Fukushima or elsewhere. In addition, a collection of 40-years worth of 600,000 spent fuel rods posed an immediate HazMat threat that never went away. The water poured over them evaporated into radioactive steam to go directly into our planet’s atmosphere and the tons of sea water sprayed on the entire nuclear conflagration were criminally dumped into the Pacific Ocean. Again, because it was not monitored, we will never know how many millions of tons of radioactive water were dumped into the Pacific Ocean. The entire web of ocean life then was irreversibly contaminated with radioactive nuclear waste and detritus, as the ocean currents carried this nightmare to the west coast shores of North America (California, Oregon, Washington, and Vancouver). As with other major planetary bodies of water, the Pacific Ocean has become an enormous radioactive garbage dump of incalculable proportions that are beyond any remediation currently known to science. This majestic body of water has become one of our planet’s toilets.(1)


What about the entire web of ocean life? From the great and magnificent whales to the variety of microscopic life, this entire vast ecosystem has been poisoned. Yet, we will never know the immense extent of death and destruction that Fukushima caused to it. Even knowing that the ocean food chain is contaminated with radioactivity, this was not reported by mainstream media. So, the fishing industry is catching and selling various fish and crustaceans that are radioactive. How many tons of these have gone up through the entire food chain, and then sold to uninformed consumers who eat these HazMat foods? Profits always trump our safety and well-being. This is the massive global poisoning of our only home –Mother Earth. We are fortunate, however, that the alternative internet media has reported on these dangers.


While hundreds of thousands (perhaps millions?) will develop various radiation-related illnesses (cancers and diabetes, as well as radiation-induced miscarriages, stillbirths and birth deformities) over the next decades, the coffers of the medical profession, pharmaceutical companies, and nuclear industry will be bursting with profits. The 1986 nuclear accident at Chernobyl continues its deathly impact –and that was only one reactor.(2) Fukushima had six reactors.


Medical reports are already showing a significant rise in deaths due to Fukushima’s radioactive fallout. Noted toxicologist and internist Dr. Janet Sherman recently said:” Based on our continuing research, the actual death count here [in the US] may be as high as 18,000... but we continue to find that infants are hardest hit because their tissues are rapidly multiplying, they have undeveloped immune systems, and the doses of radioisotopes are proportionally greater than for adults.”


This massive and frightening crisis is the result of no precaution, no prevention, and no care or concern for human or any other kind of life on our planet. None of this is mainstream news. E.O. Wilson (“The Future of Life” and “Biodiversity”) and Bill McKibben (“The End of Nature”) were writing about these issues decades ago. The dangers of the nuclear age continue to mount with off-the-scale disastrous results to all of us.


How much longer can we be deceived about the extreme dangers of nuclear energy and nuclear weapons? Everything that encompasses nuclear energy is unsafe. It is hazardous in the extreme. Further, nuclear waste has been accumulating for six decades. There is NO LONG-TERM SAFE WAY TO STORE ANY NUCLEAR WASTE. For example, countless drums of nuclear waste have been dumped into the ocean, and have been found to be leaking radioactive poisons.


Everything on our planet has been contaminated with life-long and long-term radiation. I continue to write: “Invisible does not mean safe.” With many nuclear facilities in the US old and having numerous problems, the core issue of it as a hazardous endeavor remains. Two nuclear plants with serious troubles are Vermont Yankee, and just last month San Onofre (built right on a fault line). They are just the tips of the proverbial radioactive iceberg.


So, as long as profits trump safety, and as long as the entire nuclear industry has ties to the military, we will never be safe. Valid citizens’ and medical concerns continue to be ignored. We are all expendable.


This is not a one-issue health and/or environmental crisis. We MUST think of the bigger picture, across many disciplines. We are in the midst of a long-planned and multi-pronged assault on our health and our planet’s. The destruction of real and long-term good health has been replaced by multiple and chronic diseases (often caused by enormous toxic pollution that envelops all of us). Our entire biology has been battered for a century. The blood-brain barrier has been breached. Nano-technology and invisible stealth-created micro-organisms –both unregulated– are our modern-day plagues. Many were created in some bio-hazard lab. To add to this is the poisoning of our water, air and food supply. In 1998, the print-edition of London’s “The Ecologist” (perhaps the earliest environmental magazine, first published in the 1970s), devoted their entire issue to “The Monsanto Files. Can we survive genetic engineering?”(3) For many years, F. William Engdahl (“Seed of Destruction”) and Dr. Mae Wan-Ho both have written about the abundant and well-documented dangers of genetic engineering and the GM poisoned foods.
Add to that:, we have an illegal but on-going geo-engineered aerosol 24/7/365 stealth assault overhead that has completely changed our air and poisoned our health. In numerous lectures and research papers, Clifford Carnicom has documented that our air has been transformed to a plasma state; and with it is the associated tragedy of Morgellons syndrome that was created from some synthetic self-replicating nano-organism. There is no “off switch” for this; but the media ridicules sufferers. Time magazine recently published an article noting that these very real and documented symptoms were “delusional.” Into this synergistic nightmare are also 100,000 chemicals –90 percent of which are untested– that surround our every move.


Last, but by no means the least, of these hazards is the hidden dangers of the EMF/RF spectrum [Electromagnetic Frequency/Radiation Frequency]. The proliferation of this deadly technology encompasses: cell phones and Wi-Fi and their towers that poison our landscapes. With more than 5-billion cell phones sold, consumers were never told how dangerous they were. Outdated data and reports do not include the now constant barrage of these higher frequencies that wreck our health. There is also newly reported research demonstrating that this also includes impairment of cognitive function and brain damage.(4)


The latest release of this hazardous technology is the so-called “Smart” Meters that are being installed all over North America and Europe without any mandate and without any preliminary research that the utility [electric, gas, and water] companies did on the numerous biological threats they are already causing people who have had a meter installed.(5)


With 8,000 complaints, California leads the US in the most vocal concerns about these meters. Several cities, including Santa Cruz, CA, have banned them with year-long moratoria. There was never any mandate to force these meters on anyone; the utility companies did not warn customers of the extreme risks of constantly pulsing EMF, nor did they warn customers about breakage to our DNA or brain damage. The American Academy of Environmental Medicine (founded in 1965) has called for a moratorium on these dangerous meters.(6) It is conceivable that the unfolding EMF crisis will be far worse than the asbestos and tobacco hazards combined. Corporations have personhood and have the same legal standing as any real humans. They have the financial means to block any real justice for the environmental and health damage their products continue to cause. They are rarely held accountable. Add to that the destruction of 30-years of environmental laws meant to protect us, this is another part of the disaster recipe in which we live out our days. The nuclear industry has never told us the truth about the permanent level of radiation dangers to which we are all exposed. The plunder of our planet and the destruction of vast ecosystems have been documented for decades. These poisons, mostly invisible, envelop our every move, contaminate our DNA, and wreck our health and ability to reproduce safely. The past 10 years this destruction has been accelerated at a phenomenal rate, while mainstream media continues to report lies.




Nevertheless, more and more millions of people are waking up and connecting many of the dots of these epidemics of serious illnesses, loss of millions of jobs, theft of millions of homes, stealing of trillions of dollars of wealth to pay off banksters, CEOs and insiders, while the middle class around the globe is in extremis. Evidence continues to mount of what insider trading and printing of fiat money has done to destroy people’s lives and economies around the globe. We cannot minimize or discount a situation that is totally out of control; and we cannot think of each of these HazMats as separate problems. They are all inter-related and they are destroying out health. Connecting the dots of this multi-pronged assault on all of us as well as our entire biosphere is ESSENTIAL. It is not sustainable. It is up to all of us to become well-informed and educated about what is happening, join together, and to paraphrase Dr. Rosalie Bertell “refuse to co-operate in our own destruction.” We still have that choice.
Remember: What we don’t look for, we can’t find. If those in charge decide NOT to monitor or report the dangers, then no one is ever held accountable –that includes those in charge. We all suffer the consequences.

Niños mártires

Es dificil sustraerse a la ira ante el salvaje atentado a una escuela judía en Francia. Por más que uno quiera conseguirlo. Quien es capaz de asesinar niños, sea de la ideología que sea, no merece el calificativo de humano.

Hay tanta violencia desatada que uno no sabe a que atenerse. Todos podemos ser víctimas.

Soldado asesino

Un sargento estadounidense asesina 16 personas en Afganistan, muchos niños y la noticia, que de momento oculta el nombre del sujeto, un sargento, analiza los detalles de si el hombre estaba bebido (¡), de si lo colmaba el estrés acumulado en su ejercicio de noble guerrero que había sido tres veces herido.

Y por si fuera poco, se aluden a posibles problemas matrimoniales. Cosa que se niega aduciendo que su matrimonio era "sano" y a que su  esposa gozaba de un buen empleo.

He sentido auténtico asco ante lo hipócrita que puede ser la información con que nos bombardean: no hay dudas de que las guerras convierten a los seres humanos en psicópatas.

Pero es así como llegan a ser útiles a los ejércitos: cuando como el criminal de la noticia desatan lo peor de si mismos.

El asesinato, como tantos otros delitos que se nos ocultan, quedará sin verdadero castigo. A lo sumo unas sesiones con el psiquiatra, reclusión en un centro especializado, depaquine, ziprexa,seroquel y buena paga extra. Y su muy sano matrimonio, con dos hijos para santificarlo, seguirá adelante.

Pero, ¿Imaginan el profundo odio que siembran a su paso los soldados de la democracia? ¿Pueden ponerse en el lugar de los familiares y vecinos de los muertos? ¿Pueden sentir su desolación e impotencia?. En medio de esos desiertos y montañas donde la supervivencia es un reto.

No es de extrañar que un fanático taliban suicida se lleve por delante lo que pueda. Y ojo por ojo y muerto por muerto.

He leido en alguna parte que Obama ha dicho "que su función de presidente le estimula la necesidad de orar".

Todas sus oraciones seran inútiles presidente, mientras siga sembrando guerras.

Que Dios o Alá o Jehová lo coja confesado, que dicen los abuelos en Spain.
