25 de noviembre de 2014, 15:04Geneva, Nov 25 (Prensa Latina) Cuban doctor Felix Baez, who contracted Ebola in Sierra Leone, is evolving positively and the presence of virus in the blood was reduced significantly, said today in a statement the University Hospital of Geneva (HUG).
The medical report specifies that the health status of the patient is improving and the team of doctors shows reasonably optimistic.
The doctor, member of the Medical Brigade Henry Reeve in the African country, was transferred to the Swiss facility last Thursday at the suggestion of the World Health Organization (WHO).
Hospitalized in a special chamber located in an isolated area, Baez is reacting well to treatment and has begun to recover his strength, doctors said.
Currently the patient is under the care of five people, all trained and used to working in that sector, including a specialist in infection prevention. |
